an evening with designer Jason Wu!

last thursday, i had the honor of meeting designer Jason Wu at an event hosted by Capitol File and Neiman Marcus. if you haven't heard of him---it's okay. consider this your fashion101 on him. he is a very, very new designer who recently received a lot of buzz for designing first lady Michelle Obama's inaugural gown last January. Jason Wu, a graduate of parsons school of design, is only 26 years old and has already launched a successful clothing line, loved by many A-listers. when speaking with him, he was incredibly nice. i told him he was a "fashion icon" and he answered, humbly, "no i'm not! i don't have enough experience!" if you're dying to get some of his beautiful fashions, they can be found exclusively at neiman marcus, friendship heights.
